Garlic Lemon Chicken

Sometimes chicken gets a bad reputation around the dinner table. People often complain about dryness and a lack of flavor. With this lemon garlic chicken recipe, all of your chicken fears are conquered in one dish. The breading keeps the chicken tender and juicy and the chardonnay, garlic, and lemon give this dinner a delicious flavor. Add in a few simple side dishes, and enjoy!



  • 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour, 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chardonnay
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, pressed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • salt and pepper

  • Cover chicken in plastic wrap and pound until half of the original thicknessIMG_0985
  • Mix the eggs in a bowl. Combine flour and breadcrumbs in separate bowl.
  • Dip chicken in eggs, then in flour/breadcrumb mixture, salt and pepper mixtureIMG_0987
  • Sauté chicken in a large pan with olive oil, approximately 5 minutes on each side
  • Remove from frying pan and place on plate
  • Pour excess olive oil out of the pan
  • Return pan to medium heat, sauté garlic until golden, add half of onions
  • Add wine and lemon juice and simmer for 5 minutes IMG_0991
  • Stir in butter until melted
  • Return chicken to sauce and simmer five to ten minutes, turning once
  • Top with remaining green onions
  • Serve over a bed of rice
