Healthy Popcorn Medley

One of the best snacks to mindlessly munch on is popcorn. Whether you are in the movie theater, watching TV, or doing homework in your room, popcorn is a great light snack. And popcorn doesn’t always have to just be butter flavored. There are so many fun and creative ways to spice up your popcorn without adding too many calories. The flavors in this recipe are vanilla cinnamon sugar, chocolate cayenne, and chili lime. If you like it salty or sweet, there is a popcorn recipe out there for you. I wrapped the different flavors up in a wax paper cone in order to serve for guests at a party. Enjoy!




  • popcorn kernels (1/4 cup per flavor)
  • olive oil spray

Cinna-Sweet Popcorn

  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Coco Kick Popcorn

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tsp coco powder
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar

Spicy with a Twist Popcorn

  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder



  1. Place kernels in pot with 1 tbsp olive oil. Let the contents heat with lid on until almost all of the kernels are popped
  2. Divide the popcorn into three separate bowls

For Cinna-Sugar:

  1. Melt butter in pan and cook vanilla bean in it until fragrant.
  2. Pour butter over popped corn
  3. Combine powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle over the top
  4. Stir until well mixed

For Coco Kick:

  1. Spray a bowl of popcorn with olive oil
  2. Combine coco powder, cayenne and powdered sugar
  3. Pour mixture over popcorn and stir until well combined

For Spicy with a Twist:

  1. Sprinkle a bowl of popped corn with lime juice
  2. Combine paprika and chili powder in separate bowl, then pour over the top
  3. Stir until well mixed

Place the popcorn in wax paper funnel or other serving dish and enjoy while still slightly warm!
